Living MARCH well.

March 4, 2024

I write this on the 4th of March. 4 days already into my birthday month and I don’t want to let it pass me by. I felt the uncanny speed of January + February and am desperately grasping to find a piece of slowness for March.

I turn 37 this month. I shift from mid-30’s to late-30’s and wow… what a gift. What a complete gift to LIVE LIFE. To have been here for 37 years so far. I am truly so grateful. The wrinkles around my eyes show the joy of laughter and a live well-lived.

Because I don’t want these days to just pass me by but I want to live fully in them, I wanted to come up with a list of ways I can actively hold on to time. I wanted to make a running tally of things I can do to simply enjoy the moment. I wanted to

BE

IN

TODAY.

And I felt, it might be nice to share that list with you if you feel at all in the same way.

And I felt, it might be nice to share that list with you if you feel at all in the same way.

  1. Watch “About Time” (its my favorite movie. a bit slow at first but brings tears flowing every time i watch it and such a sweet reminder of the gift of today.)

  2. Pause in my day. Pray + seek the Lord. Invite my children to join me. Let them see my desire to be closer to Jesus.

  3. Dance more. Just put on the music and dance. Or… just dance.

  4. Capture the moments. The odd ones. The ones deemed as not to pretty but really, are the most precious realities of life.

  5. Journal. Every. Single. Day. Just take the time to mark down something wonderful from that day. Or something hard. But process through it and write.

  6. Nourish. Eat good foods. Drink lots of water. Let your feet touch the earth.

  7. Get off screens more. Don’t feel the need to DO. Just sit + BE

This month is a beautiful opportunity for new beginnings. It’s spring - a time of blossoming + blooming. Use this time to reasses where your 2024 is sitting at and where you want to be and make steps to draw closer to that. Your words mean nothing if you don’t back them up with action. And I’m saying this as a reminder to myself as well. This can be such a beautiful time of life and we get to choose how to approach it.

I’m choosing slow + light + laughter. It’s going to be a remarkable year ahead.
